Protecting the eyes and skin on the face all year-round is important, especially after cosmetic surgery treatments, according to one stylist.
Nicky Hambleton-Jones, of Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger, suggested that wearing replica ray ban sunglasses can help protect not only the eyes themselves, but the delicate skin around them.
She said: “By wearing a good pair of fake ray ban sunglasses, you will protect your eyes from these rays and also stop squinting, which can contribute to developing crow’s feet.”
Ms Hambleton-Jones added that for optimum protection, sunglasses should be worn both on sunny and overcast days as harmful rays can damage skin and eyes all year round.
Sunscreen is safe to apply all year round and protects against the ageing of the skin around the eyes, which is 40 times thinner than the skin on the rest of the face and is the first area to show premature photo-ageing, according to Ms Hambleton-Jones.
Cosmetic procedures for the eyes can include eye bag removal and eyelid lifts, which are both said to have anti-ageing affects.
